Our Services
We offer high quality general consultations to the public with the aim of helping the population resolve most of the common health problems.
We believe that most, if not all, of the pathology that affect man are quite preventable. By offering free to low cost consultations, and through our community programs, we attract most people who would have otherwise not been able to seek medical care.
At consultations, the following key points make us outstanding in patient care;
We listen very attentively to those seeking healthcare - we believe they did not just come to tell us "Good morning.."
We ask them more and more questions in other to better understand their problem - we believe their problem is far beyond what they just explained.
We provide them with the best evidence-based education related to the health problem and to their health in general, integrateing them to our health educational programs. Our patients receive the best advice from us and from a network of experts when need be.
Interestingly, our consultation service is linked to the HELP Follow Me service, and the staff in charge of this service follow patients up even after they leave the center.
To us, a consultation is not a one-sided talk where only the patient talks and the doctor listens and pull out his prescription or lab request form.
It might not be all about a prescription or a laboratory test. It could just be a problem that needs a discussion (two-way) - our experience has it that talking/advice heals even diseases.
At HELP HealthCare Services, we are use our expertise, academic and professional experiences to create the difference in people's health. We see this difference every day in the life of our patients.
Therefore, our consultations are more of a discussion, and with the HELP of our patients, we take an informed health decision together. On this note, we urge all those visiting our facility to be free and relaxed to provide us with information that will best orientate us in serving them better.
Our doctors, nurses and other health professionals believe in confidentiality and the privacy of patients, and they do not only take every information serious, but they also respect you and their profession in keeping all information within self.
We offer different consultation services, and each of these has some specificities as per the health problem.
First HELP is simply First Health Empowerment by a Loving Person/People, meaning the very first urgent medical assistance offered someone who is in dying need, due to an illness or injury, before a qualified professional help arrives on the scene.
Our course, First HELP, is made up of two modules; (1) First Aid and (2) CPR, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Unlike an injury, a disease is a particular abnormal condition that negatively affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism(White, Tim, 2014). Diseases are often known to be medical conditions that are associated with specific symptoms and signs, caused by external factors such as pathogens or by internal dysfunctions. Whatever caused any disease in question has to be searched for and identified as the culprit.
Relying on mere signs and symptoms may be very misleading as different diseases due to different causes may share the same signs and symptoms. For example, the initial symptoms of COVID-19 are very much like symptoms of influenza A and B.
Therefore, establishing the exact cause of a disease has to go far beyond clinical diagnosis to using efficient devices and equipment, but also need the expertise of an excellent professional and the collaboration of the patient. Without accurate and timely diagnosis, disease management becomes very challenging.
HELP HealthCare Services has all it takes to search for and identify the bacteria, viruses, or what ever germ that has caused a disease on the human body, and we are proud to say "...this is a big advantage to all patients consulting our services for health problems or just a checkup, especially at this point when our laboratory services range from FREE to low cost, compared to any other diagnostic laboratory".
Interestingly, our diagnostic laboratory does not serve only patients and users at our center, but it also serve other health facilities within our network, at a very affordable rate. For those health facilities in our network, they do the specimen collection based on our recommendations and standard operating procedures, and then we do the pickup, analysis and return of results.
We have a qualified and experience staff that manages the following laboratory departments, offering a wide variety of tests.

Due to the proliferation of many illegal schools and universities and with the rapid growth of online crime rates, many people are afraid of pursuing their dreams for fear of falling into problems.
Texila American University (TAU) is NOT FAKE. TAUis an offshore private medical school, owned by the Texila American University Ltd – Hong Kong (TAU-HK). TAU-HK is a project of the ALLTERE Education Management Company. Texila's U.S. offices are in New Jersey. The University is located in Guyana, South America and Zambia, South Africa. There are more than 1500 students study with Texila American University from 70+ countries across the globe. With more than 28+ global accreditation’s, I wonder why people say that Texila American University is fake. You could even check the testimonials of our past students.
While Texila American University ranking is really good and it is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDMS) and Medical Council of India (MCI) (Number 80 on the list).
TAU offers diverse health science programs. It upholds high academic standards and emphasis on producing extremely competent physicians and health care professionals. The university is recognized by medical councils of various nations. TAU is listed under many of the approving bodies like WDMS and MCI and here is the image of the same for your reference.

Our clinical microbiology laboratory is a full-service laboratory offering accurate diagnostic bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, virology, and mycobacteriology, ranging from simple microscopy to culture and sensitivity.
We perform diagnostic tests on the following specimens, using microscopy, culture and antigen-antibody techniques;
Vaginal/Cervical swabs for common vaginal/cervical infections like Gonorrhoea, trichomonas vaginalis ("sugar sugar"), etc..
Urethral swabs for male urethral infections, e.g. gonorrhea.
Urine test for urinary tract infections that may range from less severe to svere kidney infections.
Stool analysis for worms infestations and other parasitic or bacterial infections like typhoid. Note that the WIDAL test is out of date and we may only use it for screening blood samples for further testing procedure.
Malaria: rapid diagnostic test and microscopy for malaria test.
Microfilarial (Filarial) test: we do a skin snip and/or calibrated thick film for diagnosing filarial infection.
Nasopharyngeal swab for throat infections
Cerebrospinal Fluid for the diagnosis of bacterial and fungal infections (using indian ink).
Pleural Fluid Analysis for infection of the pleural cavity.
Joint Fluid Analysis for diagnosing any joint infection.
Sputum Analysis (Tuberculosis Test) for diagnosing tuberculosis infection.
Your well being and the future of your unborn baby is a major concern to us, and one of the main reasons we exist.
Though the World Health Organization has stated that regular contact with a doctor, nurse or midwife during pregnancy allows women to receive services vital to their health and that of their future children, in sub-Saharan Africa, even fewer women (52 per cent) received at least four antenatal visits - though WHO now recommends up to eight antenatal care visits per pregnancy to reduce perinatal mortality and improve women’s experience of care.
Amongst the few who receive at least four visits, either the skill level of the health-care provider or the quality of care, both of which can influence whether such care actually succeeds in bringing about improved maternal and newborn health is also a point of concern to HELP HealthCare Services.
Putting all of the above together, we took it upon ourselves to make a better place for every pregnant woman, as we work in a network with other skilled professionals to make pregnancy an enjoyable and less painful period - we provide quality antenatal care and have a special followup program (HELP to the Pregnant Woman) for all women of child bearing age even before they become pregnant.
WHAT WE DO AT ANTENATAL CARE VISITS
Screening for and management of pathologies: hypertension, anaemia, malaria, syphilis, urinary tract infection, HIV infection, malnutrition, vitamin and micronutrient deficiencies, hypertension to prevent eclampsia, immunization against tetanus, etc.
Screening for and management of obstetric complications: uterine scar, abnormal presentation, premature rupture of membranes, multiple pregnancy, abnormal bleeding (metrorrhagia), etc.
Routine prevention of maternal and neonatal tetanus, anaemia, mother-to-child HIV transmission, malaria in endemic areas (provision of malarial medications and insecticide-treated mosquito nets), etc.
Devising a birth plan; counselling; preparation for the birth.
OUR ANTENATAL CONSULTATIONS ARE FREE
As a measure to ensure that every pregnant woman has access to quality antenatal care services, we offer completely FREE consultations. At least, every pregnant woman should be able to come up to us to start antenatal care or at least to express how she is feeling.
HELP TO THE PREGNANT WOMAN
We believe that money is not the only factor that may be hindering pregnant women from going for antenatal care. This is why we develope this special educational and resource program for pregnant women and authors of the pregnancies.
Through this program, we empower every pregnant woman with the knowledge to overcome pregnancy-related issues and stay safe, while educating the husbands and men responsible for the pregnancies about the importance of antenatal care.
All pregnant women consulted at our service are integrated into this program, and it helps them in the following ways;
Empower the pregnant woman
Makes the pregnant woman cope with stress from home or elsewhere.
Helps sustain their visits, by either reminding them of such visits and the importance.

A Big "Yes": Any university is said to be accredited if it meets all the conditions necessary to offer the particular program. To be honest, very few universities get this privilege of being accredited by all the accreditation bodies and Texila American University is one such university which is prestigious and featuring among the accredited few.
Texila is registered with the National Accreditations Council of Guyana and Higher Education Authority Ministry of Education, Zambia. It is listed in the FAIMER International Medical Education Directory (IMED) effective in 2011 as School #F0002428 and is listed in the World Health Organization's World Directory of Medical Schools. By virtue of its listing in IMED, students graduating from Texila are authorized to take part in the United States Medical Licensing Examination three-part examinations. Those who pass the examinations are eligible according to the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates to register for and participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
With a medical course from Texila, you also get the chance to practice your clinical rotations in US hospitals. Also training to clear USMLE and MCI exams are also provided. This can help you to practice as a doctor in the US and chance to get US residency or Indian residency.
In fact, Texila American University’s accreditation’s are one of the highlights that attract students from across the world to pursue our standardized programs. There is state- of -art laboratories for the students to gain practical knowledge.
At Texila, your dream to enhance your career comes true at an incredibly affordable course fee. To check and get enrolled in the same, check our website.
An injury is damage to your body, and generally refers to harm caused by accidents, falls, hits, weapons, and more. This is a very common phenomenon everywhere, but most frequent in areas where people are not educated and/or provided with good preventive material at work or play, indoors or outdoors, cars, or on the street, where these injuries could occur.
Injuries range from minor to life-threatening, but what ever form it takes, addressing the problem in time is very important in patient care. Minor wounds, for instance, usually aren't serious, but may be infected by bacteria and worsen if not cleaned.
Injuries account for 9% of global mortality, and are a threat to health in every country of the world. For every death, it is estimated that there are dozens of hospitalizations, hundreds of emergency department visits and thousands of doctors’ appointments. A large proportion of people surviving their injuries incurs temporary or permanent disabilities. - WHO.
On the above note, we at HELP HealthCare Services, consider all injuries an emergency and handle the as such. Our experts give the best of care that an injured person needs, considering that pain is already being inflicted from the injury.
OUR INJURY CONSULTATION IS UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT
Why HELP HealthCare Service is so different is that;
We educate the patient on injury prevention and care, if it ever occured.
We do a followup and home care.
OUR SPECIAL PROGRAM
Unfortunately, most workers are either ignorant of a safe work environment or do not see the importance of such. On the other hand, most employers careless about a safer work environment probably because they are not aware of the ngative impact it is having on their businesses.
HELP Safe My Work is a special program put in place by HELP HealthCare Services, and it is making the difference in the lives of both the employers and the employees.
By making integration into this program completely FREE for individuals, we attract more people whom we empower on measures to stay safe all the time.
Everyone reasoning human being can safe a live. Therefore, the First HELP training is basically for everyone in the society, including;
Individuals

TAU was established in Guyana in September 2010, offering courses in medicine and dentistry. The initial classes were offered at the Critchlow Labour College on Woolford Avenue in Georgetown, and in 2011, they moved to a campus in Goedverwagting, Sparendaam.
In 2012, the university expanded its programs to offer nursing certifications. TAU graduated its first set doctors in 2014, followed by hundreds of graduate physicians in 2015, 2016 and 2017[4] out of a total enrollment of 422 students from 35 countries.
In 2014, the school began an expansion hoping to accommodate up to 1000 students at a new campus located in Providence, East Bank Demerara.
TAU has a campus in Zambia and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.
In many diseases conditions there are significant changes in the chemical composition of body fluids, either secreted by the germ, lack of certain hormones/enzymes and/or due to alterations resulting from immune response of the body. Examples include raised blood enzymes due to their release from heart muscles after a heart attack, or a raised blood sugar in diabetes mellitus due to lack of insulin.
In our chemical pathology laboratory, we study the chemical and biochemical mechanisms of the body in relation to disease, mostly through the analysis of body fluids such as blood or urine. Analysis are designed to detect qualitatively or quantitatively changes of these chemicals compared to results from healthy people, during a patient's consultation or just for followup.
The staff working in our chemical pathology laboratory have complex practical and interpretive skills, as the work ranges from manual techniques requiring hands on practical skills; through to operation and management of highly automated testing systems capable of producing thousands of results an hour. Given the scope of chemical pathology and the number of analyses being performed, all assays and equipment are closely monitored and quality-controlled to maintain the integrity of the results produced.
Most common diseases diagnosed in our chemical laboratory are;
Diabetes
Kidney failure
Heart problems
Cardiovascular problems (lipid profile)
Liver problems
Infertility
Thyroid problems
Bacterial and viral infections
Obeseity-related problems

Our hematology laboratory is involved with the assessments of blood formation and blood disorders, in other to diagnose any disease or abnormality in blood and the blood-forming organs.
Some examples of these tests are:
Full blood count - A test that counts the total number of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets present in blood, and also determines the level of hemoglobin (for anemia assessment). All findings are reported against reference values from healthy subjects.
Blood film (thick film) - This test assesses the number, shape and size of red blood cells and the presence of any abnormal cells or immature cells are noted.
Staining may also detect blood parasites such as malaria, toxoplasmosis, and microfiliariasis.
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) - A test performed to assess any non-specific inflammatory response.
Blood Grouping, Comb's test - Tests done to know blood group type, and prior to blood transfusion
Platelet function in bleeding and coagulation may be checked using a test called prothrombin time.
Electrophoresis may be used to examine proteins in the blood such as hemoglobin and to check for hemoglobinopathies such as thalassemia or sickle cell anemia.
The enzyme G6PD may be assessed in sickle cell disease.
Examination of fluids and spleen biopsy.
Immunocytochemical techniques for detecting antigens both inside and on the surface of cells.
Assessment of storage diseases such as Gaucher's disease, Niemann-Pick disease and glycogen storage disease.
Assessment of chronic myeloproliferative disorders using bone marrow and blood examination.
Assessment of hemophagocytic syndromes.

To become a First HELP expert, you must go through a torough training offered by our instructors, and you must cover the following;
Read all our modules,
Watch our training videos,
Write a summary review of each of the modules studied,
Write and pass the quizes and examination, where available.
A First HELP Expert is and expert in both First Aid and CPR administration, meaning he has successfully completed all the two modules under the course.
On the other hand, you may just want to be trained on one of the two modules, First Aid or CPR. In this case, you are not a First HELP expert, but rather, a First Aid or CPR Expert, depending on which module you choose.

When germs (antigens), particularly bacteria and viruses, enter the body, our system in response, produces some proteins, called antibodys ("soldiers"), to fight off the foreign invader. These antibodies are specific to different antigens (germs), and are formed either against the whole germ, or against certain parts of the germ, or even against certain products from the germ.
Antibodies formed against typhoid germ for example, will not fight against the germ causing syphilis and vice versa, except in the case of what we call cross reactivity. Once antibodies of a particular disease is detected (tested positive), it is conclusive that the patient is infected with that germ. This is what we call indirect testing - establishing the presence of a disease by testing
for its antibodies.
In our serology laboratory, we use tests that either detect detect germs through their antibodies (indirect testing) or directly by testing for their presence.
This is achieved by analyzing blood specimens or some body fluids or specimens from other body sites, which detect and measure the levels of antibodies. While in some diseases the mere detection of antibodies confirm the presence of the disease, others rely on
antibody levels (antibody titer) guides our physicians and nurses to determine whether infection occurred recently or years ago (past healed infection) - what we call serological scar.
When people are exposed to bacteria or viruses (antigens), their body’s immune system produces specific antibodies against the organism.
WHAT WE DO:
Amongst other test, we perform;
HIV Tests - We perform a two-level testing to establish a definitive (final) results which tells us if a person is truly infected or not. We also confirm tests from other centers.
Hepatitis B and C
Syphils Testing - Both screening (VDRL) and Confirmation (TPHA - titre)
Chlamydia Test - We do both antibody IgG/IgM (indirect) and antigen (direct) testing.
ASLO Test - Generally known as rheumatism test.
CRP Test - This is a test for a non-specific acute inflammatory response.
RF (Rheumatoid Factor)
Toxoplasmosis (IgG/IgM)

Unlike most universities, TAU has a very flexible application system. To do this, you have to get in contact with the school admission agent through the following ways;
Firstly: Send your some few details to TAU Student's Ambassador by taking a few seconds to fill out the a short online form - this is all you need on your part.
Secondly: The Student's Ambassador will relay your details to the university admission agent, who will immediately contact you through a phone call or whatsapp chat message.
During such a contact, the agent will brief you deeply, answering all your questions and providing you with important deadlines.
Note: All TAU agents are very receptive and treat all admission cases as a matter of urgency, considering the academic calendar and demand at the time.
